Torra payments cover platform charges — primarily seller subscriptions — and run through Paystack, a leading African payment processor. Item transactions between buyers and sellers happen directly between the parties.

What you pay Torra for
Torra charges sellers for subscriptions; buying and browsing are free.
- Seller subscription plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold) per marketplace vertical.
- Buyers never pay Torra to browse, message, or transact with sellers.
How checkout works
When a payment is due, Torra hands off to a secure Paystack checkout.
- You're redirected to a payment page for the specific charge.
- Paystack supports cards, bank transfer, and other local payment methods.
- After payment, you return to Torra via a callback page that confirms the transaction status.
- Card details are handled entirely by Paystack — Torra never sees or stores them.
Payment history
Every platform payment is recorded against your account.
- View past payments and their statuses from the payment history page at /payment/history.
- Subscription status updates automatically once payment is confirmed.
- If a payment is confirmed by Paystack but not reflected on Torra, contact support with the transaction reference.
How to pay, step by step
What a subscription payment looks like from start to finish.
- 1Reach checkout from the Plans step of seller onboarding, or from your profile's subscription page when renewing or upgrading.
- 2Review the charge on the payment page, then complete it in the secure Paystack window using a card, bank transfer, or another local method.
- 3Wait for the redirect back to Torra — the callback page confirms whether the payment succeeded.
- 4Confirm your plan is active from your profile's subscription page, and find the receipt under payment history.
Buyer-to-seller payments
Payments for products, services, rent, or rentals are made directly to the seller on terms you agree in chat.
- Agree price and payment method with the seller through Torra messaging before paying.
- Prefer payment on delivery or inspection where practical.
- Never share card details or OTPs in chat.

No. Payment details are processed by Paystack; Torra only records the transaction outcome.
